Before he inspected homes, Jason worked as a fire marshal. His responsibilities included building inspection, jurisdiction and fire code enforcement, both jobs that required a rigorous attention to detail and a strict adherence to safety protocol. These same qualities are relevant to every home inspection Jason performs—because a safe and sound living space is an absolute priority.
Jason Katz is the owner and Certified Professional Inspector(CPI)® of Tier1 Home Inspections. When Jason made the decision to train for a career in home inspection, his vision was to provide a comprehensive service that clients could trust during a time when good help can make a world of difference. Tier1 Home Inspections utilizes some of the finest tools in the industry. Jason uses a professional sUAS/drone whenever necessary to inspect otherwise inaccessible areas. This is especially helpful for steep or damaged roofing systems.
When he’s not actively inspecting homes, Jason can still be found immersed in the process—studying education material that will help him to continue performing his duty to the highest standard. In his leisure time, Jason enjoys tackling various home improvement projects.
